This production by Marie-Ange Poyet explores a mysterious muscular disease with symptoms that included severe muscle and joint pain began to surface in the early 90s, among multiple patients in France.
A team of doctors in Paris discovered that these patients had developed a new disease called Macrophagic Myofascitis, or MMF, which occurs when the aluminum hydroxide adjuvant from a vaccine remains embedded in the muscle tissue. What the pharmaceutical companies don't make public is that the aluminum adjuvant was never rigorously tested before going on the market and there are alternative, much less toxic, adjuvants available. Selected moments from the Event 201 pandemic tabletop exercise hosted by The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY.
The exercise illustrated the pandemic preparedness efforts needed to diminish the large-scale economic and societal consequences of a severe pandemic. Drawing from actual events, Event 201 identifies important policy issues and preparedness challenges that could be solved with sufficient political will and attention. These issues were designed in a narrative to engage and educate the participants and the audience.

The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, in partnership with WHO and the BMGF, conducted a pandemic tabletop exercise at the Grand Challenges Annual Meeting in Brussels, Belgium, on October 23, 2022.
The group of participants consisted of 10 current and former Health Ministers and senior public health officials from Senegal, Rwanda, Nigeria, Angola, Liberia, Singapore, India, Germany, as well as Bill Gates, co-chair of the BMGF.
The exercise simulated a series of WHO emergency health advisory board meetings addressing a fictional pandemic set in the near future. Participants grappled with how to respond to an epidemic located in one part of the world that then spread rapidly, becoming a pandemic with a higher fatality rate than COVID-19 and disproportionately affecting children and young people. Participants were challenged to make urgent policy decisions with limited information in the face of uncertainty. Each problem and choice had serious health, economic, and social ramifications.

Outbreak 24 – SARS-5 pandemic simulation

The "Outbreak 24: Simulation of a Highly Lethal Global Pandemic" was an international exercise held in Northern Italy organized by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, an international foundation based in Germany. The event took place at their Villa La Collina training center on Lake Como and brought together experts from multiple continents, including representatives from governments, public health agencies, security sectors, and media organizations. Over several days, participants simulated and analyzed the consequences of a deadly SARS-like virus with a 20% fatality rate. The simulation emphasized decision-making under uncertainty, balancing life-saving measures with political credibility, and fostered international collaboration to enhance future pandemic preparedness.
Clade X

Clade X was a day-long pandemic tabletop exercise hosted by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in Washington, DC, based on a man-made biological weapon: an engineered parainfluenza virus with inserted "genes for neurologic virulence of Nipah virus." The exercise simulated a series of National Security Council-convened meetings of 10 US government leaders, played by individuals prominent in the fields of national security or epidemic response.
Operation Dark Winter
June 22–23, 2001
Dark Winter was a senior-level simulation to evaluate how top US officials would respond to a covert smallpox bioterrorism attack. The exercise exposed critical challenges including a severe shortage of vaccines, overwhelmed public health systems, widespread public panic and civil unrest, and difficult leadership decisions balancing civil liberties and disease control. Ultimately, Dark Winter revealed that the US was unprepared for a major biological attack and emphasized the urgent need to improve preparedness, crisis communication, and public health infrastructure, lessons that gained urgency after September 2001.

Despite his scientific expertise, he likens the injection of aluminum to its ingestion, which obviously is not assimilated and excreted in the same manner. While there are no levels of aluminum have been adequately assessed for toxicity by injection in infants, Dr. Offit maintains the safety of the minute doses of aluminum contained in vaccines.
